My friend has a mini one on her neck thank you. They're surface piercings and if done properly, you can keep them. I have a few surface piercings I've had for over 6 years thanks.

Yes, you CAN keep them in. An old friend of mine has had hers for three years. If you care for them properly, you ca keep them. It is a fact that corset piercings are very hard to maintain, because they are considered one of the most mobile piercings (meaning they can migrate), but if you work at it, you can keep them clean and have them or however long you wish to.
